Turkey Creek Campground is located just a short drive from Bryson City in Western North Carolina. It is a quiet rustic campground with a wonderful creek running through the grounds. The camp is within walking distance to Fontana Lake for fishing, swimming, boating or just enjoying the Great Smoky Mountains.

There is an elevated deck area behind the office that overlooks the campground. A wonderful place to sit in the rocking chairs and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. Turkey Creek Campground has  been voted one of the "Top Ten Campgrounds."

We camped here in September 2022 and loved the mountain views. Most of the sites are small and just right for vans and tent camping. We were on the creek side and could hear the bubbling water in the creek. The manager of the campground, Rick, is super accommodating and keeps the park running smoothly. There are other sites to accommodate bigger rigs.

A short drive away is the Nantahala's Outdoor Center. A great place to eat, go rafting, kayaking, shop or just sit and enjoy the river and mountain views.
