NEARBY ATTRACTIONS

White Oak Creek Campground

Cotton Hill Recreation Area Campground is located on the shores of Walter F. George Lake (also known as Lake Eufaula) on the Georgia and Alabama border. This facility is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers and includes the Chattahoochee River/Reservoir. The lake stretches 85 miles up the Chattahoochee River.

We spent three nights here in February 2020 and loved being by the water. This area is very wooded with lots of wildlife to enjoy. Most campers come here for the fishing where largemouth bass, white bass, hybrids, crappie, channel catfish and bream are found here.

We returned in April 2023 in our Coachmen Beyond and stayed in the Marina View CG.  There are three separate campgrounds, Marina View, Old Mill Road and Pine Island.  The Pine Island CG is on big water and can be windy.  The 1 mile nature trail is very nice and can be picked up at the entrance to Old Mill Road CG.  Be sure to stock up on your groceries before coming as there is nothing close by.
