Crystal Cove State Park located in Laguna Beach, California is one of Orange County's largest remaining examples of open space and natural seashore. It is located directly off of the Pacific Coast Highway between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach. This park has 3.2 miles of Pacific coastline and 2,400 acres of backcountry wilderness. The park staff conduct interpretive programs year-round including guided hikes, tidepool walks and geology talks.
We camped here in March 2018 in our Winnebago Travato van and loved looking out at the beautiful ocean. This is an expensive state park. We paid $50 for no hook-ups since we have solar on the van. There is a price for such a beautiful view. It's a good walk to the Day Use area and through the tunnel to the beach. There is something for everyone here whether it's hiking, swimming, fishing, snorkeling or boating. There are 32 backcountry hike-in campsites available with a permit. All sites are a 3 to 4 mile hike from the parking lot. All vehicles must be left at the Park Office or the Moro Campground Day Use lot. A picnic table and pit toilet are available but no water. Four people are allowed per site. Pack it in; pack it out. DIRECTIONS: The park is located between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach. Driving north it is approximately 2.6 miles from Laguna Beach. |
