Goose Creek is a private Encore park on the Bogue Sound along the Intracoastal Waterway in Newport, NC off of Hwy 24. We stayed here for two weeks in July 2015 on our way home from New Jersey.

Our site was not level but management helped us with boards to get it level. The park is well kept and many of the residents are here full time or summer residents. There are about 30 sites available for short term. It was very easy to get into the park on paved level roads.

This is a very active park with many planned activities. We especially enjoyed the Saturday nite DJ and fireworks. The pool is very nice and the slide is enjoyed by kids of all ages. It’s very quiet during the week but crowded on the weekend with a lot of boats and golf carts. The management was very friendly and the park is well run.

We enjoyed our stay here and found plenty of hikes in the area. Emerald Beach is close by with hiking, biking and plenty of shopping. We also toured Fort Macon, hiked the Patsy Pond Nature Trail in the Croatan National Forest and watched the sun set on the Bogue Sound in the evening.
