Hillside Family RV Park is a quiet rustic retreat in south Georgia. Located on 89 natural wooded acres with plenty of space for families to enjoy getting away. There are rustic cabins and a clubhouse available for rent. The park is quite large and golf carts are allowed to explore the property or you might enjoy an afternoon of fishing at the pond. You will love the Friday night entertainment by Jean-Claude. This is seasonal so check the calendar.
Hillside Family Campground is probably best known for their Bluegrass Festivals. These are held several times during the year and a calendar of events is available on their website. We camped here in our Travato Van in September 2017 and in March 2021. We found the park to be super friendly and a great place to walk and enjoy nature. We arrived on Thursday night for the weekend and was treated to a chili dinner by the camphosts at the clubhouse. The owners and camphosts made us feel right at home by leading us to our site and making sure we had everything we might need. DIRECTIONS FROM ATLANTA:
I-75 S to I-16 E to Exit 24 and turn right. Left onto 87 south at flashing light. Travel through the town of Cochran and the park is about a mile on the right past the bridge at Middle GA College. |
