Lake Dardanelle is a 34,300-acre reservoir on the Arkansas River. The main state park site in Russellville is where you will find the Sport Fishing Weigh-in Pavilion, visitor center with five aquariums and the Lakeview Room meeting facility. It is also a National Park Service-certified site on the Trail of Tears water route. The other site is located at nearby Dardanelle and offers 18 Class B sites for camping.
Both Russellville and Dardanelle areas have privately-owned marinas and boat docks. These water resources have put this area into the national spotlight as a major bass fishing tournament site. We spent two nights in Russellville in April 2018 and loved being on the water. The sites were a little small but no problem for our van. We rode bikes through the park and explored the trails.
