Oconee Springs Park on Lake Sinclair was built by Putnam County and the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation. The park is 12 acres 15 miles from Eatonton and 30 miles from Milledgeville, GA. It's open year-round for travel trailers and RV camping. The Little Rooster Country Store will probably have any supplies you may have forgotten including a fishing or hunting license.
We camped here in October 2011 and hiked the Rock Hawk Effigy Trail. It's a great place to relax on the north shore of Lake Sinclair and do a little fishing. We have family living across the lake and enjoyed a trip across the lake for lunch. DIRECTIONS FROM EATONTON, GA: Travel southeast on S Jefferson Ave/US-441 toward W Sumter St. Take the 1st left onto E Sumter St/GA-16/GA-44. Continue to follow GA-16.
