We camped here at Pine Cone RV Resort in July 2015 to visit family and it served as a base for us. It was easy to access from I 95 and Route 9. The roads and sites are all dirt and fairly close together. The park has a pool, soccer field, tennis and basketball court but did not meet our qualifications for a resort. We paid $775 for the month plus metered electric ($125) and felt this was pricey.
We were promised sewer hook-up but actually a honey truck came by on Wednesday so we still had to monitor our usage. There are many permanent residents on one side of the campground and not as well-kept as we would prefer. The on-site Laundromat is extremely expensive at $3.25 a load and we drove into town to do laundry. The sites were fairly level and they were very quick to scrape the roads after a rain to keep down the potholes. While in New Jersey we visited Asbury Park numerous times and enjoyed the beach and good food. We enjoyed seeing the farms and buying fresh New Jersey grown produce. New Jersey is very green and we see where it gets its name “The Garden State”. Check out our hike and bike site for the bike rides and hikes we made. We had loads of fun taking cooking classes at Heirloom Kitchen in Old Bridge, New Jersey. If ever visiting, these classes are wonderful and hands on. Check out www.heirloomkitchens.com We also visited NYC and while there went out to a Bluegrass festival in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. We rated this campground a 6 because of the sandy dirt roads and sites, expensive, metered electric, no planned activities and the full-time sites were unsightly. DIRECTIONS FROM I 195 E:
