NEARBY ATTRACTIONS

Salt Springs Recreation
Silver Springs State Park

Salt Springs Elite Resort is a privately owned gated community in the Ocala National Forest and sits on Little Lake Kerr. The RV sites are individually owned and ready to rent. There are also two bedroom furnished cottages available for rent or sale. The clubhouse is very active offering cookouts, line dancing, crafts, exercising and much more.

We camped here in February and March of 2016 on site number 35 and enjoyed the clubhouse activities and Lake Kerr. The wifi was available at the clubhouse but we had the opportunity to have internet onsite for $61 a month. The campground is easy to drive into with nice paved roads and we had no problems with our 35ft motorhome. We returned in February 2021 for a two week stay in our Coachmen Beyond van.

Many live here long term and there is an active HOA. We found our neighbors to be very friendly and we felt welcome at the clubhouse activities. We still prefer the state or national parks but the activities were fun and we enjoyed hiking in the Ocala National Forest.

It’s an easy 30-minute drive to major shopping in the towns of Silver Springs, Ocala or Palatka. Orlando, Disney World, St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Tampa Bay are all within a two-hour drive.
