Smokey Mountains

Turkey Creek Campground is a beautiful rustic campground in the mountains of western North Carolina. It is privately owned and very welcoming. We camped here in September 2022 in our Coachmen Beyond and loved being in the quiet woods. The manager, Rick, was so accommodating and friendly.

This is a mixed use campground for small to mid-size RV's and tenters. The road is recommended for RV's no longer than 30 ft.  There is a beautiful deck in the back of the office to sit and have coffee while enjoying the peace and quiet.  There is a lovely creek running through the campground that runs to the Nantahala and Little Tennessee River.

Fontana Lake is close for paddle boarding and lake kayaking. The Nantahala River is close for whitewater rafting. There is hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Nantahala National Forest. There is dining and shopping  in Bryson City.
