Spring 2014 at Old Federal

PictureEaster Sunday
Sorry we haven't blogged in such a long time. We are now at Old Federal Campground site 26 managed by the COE on Lake Lanier. We did not de-winterize before coming and thought we would run the water through the system until all the anti-freeze was gone. It took the whole camping trip to get the anti-freeze out and the water still didn't taste right. I don't think we will winterize with anti-freeze again. I did not realize when we winterized the hot water heater was emptied. I turned on the hot water heater before hooking up the water hose and turning on the water and in turn burned up the element. Lesson learned.

Our son Michael and Burgut are visiting from New York for Easter, but the weather is so bad we just spent the day at the campground and went home for the weekend. Spring in Georgia can sometimes be cold and rainy. Easter Sunday was nice and we had a wonderful dinner with Byron, Bronwyn and our nieces and nephew.

We have a few warranty issues so when we leave Old Federal we will drive straight to Camping World. There is such a shortage of techs they will keep our camper for two months. We are pleased that Forest River will cover all our warranty claims and in the meantime, at my wife's insistence, we purchased a Splendide Washer Dryer Combo for Camping World to install.

I will be busy for the next few months closing the Lawrenceville office and getting ready for semi-retirement.
